Andreas Gagnier

Partner, Production Manager

Coming from a trades background as a carpenter, Andreas’ deep interest in building science has driven him to explore the intricacies of how structures come together not just physically, but also in terms of energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Recognizing a disconnect between the theoretical frameworks of building science and the practical applications in the field, SBP was formed with the intent to bridge this gap. In his free time, Andreas enjoys exploring the endless backcountry of Vancouver Island.

Josh Kovac

After a decade working as a carpenter, Josh transitioned to becoming a licensed energy advisor in 2017. Since then, Josh has been fascinated by performance building techniques and technology aimed at enhancing home efficiency. Alongside being a father of two, Josh is an outdoor enthusiast and golfer.

Ron has applied his 15 years of residential construction experience into his career as an Energy Advisor, so he can help his customers find practical solutions to meet their targets and goals. He isn’t a great golfer, but he keeps trying.

Niesz Koziol

Energy Advisor

Niesz’s  passion for sustainable buildings began in her teens with a realization that energy- conscious construction is key to achieving harmony with our natural environment. Armed with a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Engineering, Niesz discovered early on that a conventional engineering career wasn’t aligned with her aspirations.

Driven by a hands-on approach, and inspired by the natural building movement, Niesz ventured into the world of construction to achieve a Red Seal designation as an electrician. This on-the- ground experience complemented her theoretical knowledge of building science, paving the way for a seamless transition into the role of an energy advisor with Shoreline Building Performance.
